Customer Reviews

GREAT TV5 This is a great TV to have. I had a Sony HDTV W-L series. It was my first TV and I was happy with it, but once I saw this TV in a retail store I had to get one. TV comes with 4 HDMI ports and a USB port. The picture is great, but the sound is okay. I would recommend a AV theater system, albeit Denon AVR-1909. I'm very impressed with the Perfect Pixel HD engine (motion flow), because the characters on screen looks so real. I like the fact the TV comes with a USB port. I recently updated the TV with the latest firmware upgrade. Though, I was not experiencing any problems with TV, but you will never know the recent firmware will fix any problems you may occur with your TV in the adjacent future. Bottom line, it's a great TV to have and it will make a great addition to anyone's living room or Den. Here's a link for customer support or download the latest firmware(software & drivers): http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=47PFL7403D/27&scy=US&slg=AEN&grp=TV_GR&cat=FLAT_TV_CA&sct=LCD_EXTRA_LARGE_GT40_SU# As good as a Bravia!5 I bought this TV today and this is what I got: The tv Magnavox Blu-Ray dvd player 2 HDMI cables Wii Component Cable Time Warner Digital Cable w/free HD channels and 2 way streaming DVR. All for $1750.00 with a 3 yr extended warranty on the TV and the Blu-Ray. My Dad has a Bravia W series 46" and let me tell you, this TV is just as good as the Bravia. I got the TV at Sams Club for $1190.00. It is NOT the same one as the 47" at Wal-Mart so don't go to Wally world for it! I hooked up the cable, Blu-Ray and a Wii with component cables in under 30 minutes and it looks phenominal! Two thmbs up and I will revise this update if anything changes. Thanks Philips! What a TV!5
WOW did we make the right decision in getting this TV! We
considered the 42" and decided to just go ahead and get what we really
wanted- the big one!

The picture and sound was pretty good when we installed it while
awaiting Dish Network's coming out to switch us over to HDTV, but once
we switched, it was truly breathtaking. Beautiful clarity, rich colors
and very good sound.

I say go for the biggest you can handle, get the HDMI cable for your
hookup (NOT INCLUDED) and sit back and enjoy theatre quality
broadcasts. Be sure to get this model and not the older one which isn't
120hz. I saw a difference. And as for what irritated other reviewers-
the remote- I see it as streamlined- not chintzy. Besides, who uses
that remote on a regular basis?

Just can't say enough about the quality of Philips TV's. We now have three in the house. But this one is definitely the best!
